Hello! Lynn Perreault here… I can't wait to support you as you achieve your dreams! I created Laughter Business Academy based on the spirit of working together to lift each other up life-long, giving back to the community, focusing on our deepest life purpose, profit-sharing and cooperative economics.
When I was 2 years old, I asked my dad why the newsman on television had lines on his face. My dad explained that those face lines were wrinkles, and wrinkles are a sign of wisdom. I ran straight to the bathroom mirror and pinched my forehead so I could achieve wisdom. I have been on a journey toward wisdom ever since the age of two.
I played in a traveling rock band to fund my first university degree. I have solo-backpacked through several countries across Europe, North America, Central and South America. I have survived electrical storms while climbing the Rocky Mountains. I have solo mama’d my little boy since he was one year old. I survived and overcame homelessness, violent assaults, and traumatic brain injuries. In 2020, I auditioned for a role in an Apple TV series starring Jason Mamoa, called 'See.'
I am the first woman in my family to ever have a university degree. I put myself through 12 years of school to reach the highest level of academic mastery in Psychology: A Ph.D. specializing in Community, Health, Business and Positive Psychology. I thought a doctorate would give me fulfillment and financial security, but I was still unemployed 5 years after graduation.
My background for 20 years was in improv comedy. But performing and teaching improv wasn’t impacting people as well as I wanted. Then I came across laughter yoga. And I fell in love with laughter again. I became a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader (2007) & Teacher (2010). Laughter Yoga allowed me to include everyone in the practice of laughter, no matter the tone of someone’s feelings or state of mind.
In 2010, I started my first laughter business called AYiAY, as a way of saving myself from the 9 to 5 traditional work world I didn't fit into. Within 2 years of bringing AYiAY into corporate settings, my Laughter Yoga students began asking me questions about how to start-up and grow their own laughter offerings and laughter business. AYiAY gave me the platform to gift $118,000 worth of service scholarships over a span of 8 years.
By Spring of 2021, having weathered 12 months of the covid19 pandemic in isolation with my son, 800 kilometers away from family and friends, I decided to shut down AYiAY. And my practice evolved into Laughter Business Academy.
I now work the equivalent of 6 months per year. I recently hired my first ever support team to help me expand my global economic reach. I am still in touch with laughter clients who began working with me in 2008. I am proud of the friendships I have built along my professional journey.
I believe that prosperity, achievement and growth come from: releasing old trauma, aligning with your deepest desires, taking consistent intentional action toward your dreams, making big moves, taking leaps of faith, energetic mastery, trusting yourself, and mastering your vision.
